lyrics

Verse 1
Ophelia, when you were young your love shown like a thousand suns.
But know its gone, your fathers, fathers lies have had their way.
Ophelia, how can you say the words and sing the Sunday songs?
Your twisted psalm and higher born you claim it marks your fate.

Chorus
When you dance everybody wants you.
When you speak half will turn away.
When You cry no one really listens
When you hate its your glorious day.

Verse 2
Ophelia the light that used to guide you looks so very small.
A broken wall, that never seems to keep the wolves at bay.
Ophelia, how can you judge another from your laden throne.
Your slide trombone, announces that your guns are on display.

Chorus
Whisper down, into the canyon.
Ramble on about the deepest state.
Coil your hair around your bitter fingers
lightning strikes as you hide your face.

Solo

Verse 3:
Ophelia, deception is a stone you throw at everyone.
You think it’s fun. You never look beyond another’s pain.
Ophelia, you look upon the rabble with your lips pulled thin.
To hell with them. No one really hears a word they say.
You’ve shed your skin, basking in your clover holiday.
