This was a composition challenge to write something with a busier melody.

Intro C C/B Am Am/G D D/C G/B D/A

Verse 1 G Em C
I think I’ll write each word upon a yellow page, then I’ll take them to your house
Am D G
and slide them one by one, beneath your door and let you put them in an order that would
best explain, how my heart has been
C C/B Am Am/G D D/C G/B D/A
completely captured by you.

Verse 2
The other day I drew some letters with my hands and I cut them out dipped them in some golden ink, and quickly tossed them in a frame upon a wall that you’ve been known to pass hoping they would show how much that I adore you.

Chorus C D G C D G
My words they always fail to mention. A way to grab your attention.
But I’ll keep spinning them until I’m old and gray.
C C/B Am Am/G D D/C G/B D/A
Hope they find you.

Verse 3
It was this morning walking on my secret path, that I noticed all the words and letters carved upon the trunks of all the trees and written on the leaves and when I read each one. I discovered that my words had finally found you.
